CHK Payroll Services grew from the professional relationship and collaboration of three people: Bryan Cluff. Gary Ham. Susan Knudsen. The three have worked alongside one another for years at a CPA firm, serving various businesses in Oregon and around the United States.

Specifically, Susan saw how something “as simple” as payroll could affect people’s livelihoods when talking with a family member. This epiphany moment happened when the family member asked her to look over a pay stub. With her more than 25 years of experience in the accounting field, Susan pinpointed a few issues and shared ideas for what could help.
For Susan, this short exchange clarified how employees and employers don’t always have the resources to monitor the payroll process. She decided she wanted to help businesses tame this crucial part of their operations — and CHK Payroll Services launched!
